HISTORY & ORIGIN
Our story starts 1997 in the town of Reftele when Turnab AB was founded as a subcontractor with the focus of machining components.
OUR ORIGIN
Reftele is in Gislaved Municipality, which is part of a region of 4 municipalities in Jönköping County, Småland: Gislaved, Gnosjö, Värnamo and Vaggeryd. This Region is called the GGVV-region but is better known as the Gnosjö-region.

The entrepreneurial spirit created a mentality of hard work and is better known under the name Gnosjöandan.
EVERYONE STARTS SOMEWHERE
Machine- and tool salesman Janne Lönnberg had a big interest in technology and innovation. During the late 90s, he realized that the manufacturing industry was starting to lose the right focus.

Janne decided to use the knowledge and contacts he had in the industry himself. He started his own business, together with his colleague Fredrik, who is known for his cleverness and ability to think outside the box.
Janne and Fredrik had exactly what the Gnosjö-spirit stands for. Small business owners with knowledge of the industry. Thanks to their background they also had informal- and social networks.
What made Turnab unique right from the start was competence and knowledge. We knew exactly how things should be made and put together for the best possible results. We have never been afraid to test new technologies or methods, which has led to constant development and high demands on ourselves.
